After a halfway springlike weekend, the week starts on Monday with the next cold front.
Thus, it is mostly densely cloudy and rainy especially during the first half of the day, announced Geosphere Austria on Sunday. From the west, however, it loosens up visibly with rising air pressure during the day and the sun shows up more often. Otherwise, it remains slightly prone to showers in the afternoon. The daily high will reach twelve to 17 degrees.
Also on Tuesday, Austria will remain in a changeable, northwesterly flow. There will be a relatively widespread interplay of dense clouds and intermittent sun. In addition, numerous rain showers will spread from the west. The focus of precipitation will be on the northern side of the Alps. A maximum of eight to 16 degrees Celsius is possible.
Snow up to 900 meters
With a northwesterly high-altitude current and the influx of cool air masses, cloud fields will pass through at times on Wednesday. Especially in the morning, a few showers may pass through from the north. Heavier clouds will generally remain in the congested areas along the northern side of the Alps, where it may still rain more often, above about 900 to 1200 meters also snow. The maximum temperatures will be similar to those of the previous day.
Some dense cloud fields will pass through on Thursday, but the sun repeatedly shows itself again. Isolated showers may occur, especially in the mountains, otherwise it will remain dry. With eleven to 17 degrees, it will be somewhat warmer.
Also on Friday, many clouds will move across the sky, which may also occasionally cause some rain. There will be relatively few clearings, most in the south. The daily highs will climb to 14 to 19 degrees.
